Our Orthodontic team is seeking an experienced clinical orthodontic chair side assistant!

- Each day is an 8 hour shift that varies depending on the day. Monday-Thursday 8-5, 9-6, 8:30-5:30. Fridays 7:30-4pm.
- RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists in placing and removing orthodontic appliances, removing and replacing elastic ties on individual teeth, removing and inserting orthodontic wires to and from brackets
- Prepares teeth for the placement of orthodontic brackets and cleaning teeth after removal of orthodontic bracket removal
- Records treatment information on the patient’s chart, including treatment rendered, the type of treatment planned and the amount of chair time, doctor time and assistant time needed for next appointment.
- Takes full patient records including photos, X-rays, and 3-D intraoral scan
- Provides customer service support to patients by escorting them to and from the treatment room and prepping them for care by the doctor.
- Prepares all treatment rooms including, but not limited to, set-up, decontamination, sterilization of all instruments, cleaning and restocking.
- Maintains cleanliness of the treatment area, lab, and sterilizing area.
- Reviews patient’s medical history, progress from the previous visit, if applicable, and the scheduled treatment plan with each patient.
- Takes impressions for diagnostic and opposing models.
- Cleans X-ray, hand pieces, vacuum traps, and sharp instruments.
- Pours and trims study models.
- Makes retainers
- Monitors incoming and outgoing lab cases.
