Key Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic exams as ordered by physicians, ensuring technical quality and minimal radiation exposure to patients.
- Position patients under X-ray machines, adjust immobilization devices, and provide radiation protection.
- Prepare reports and maintain accurate patient records, including film files and storage.
- Maintain supplies, equipment, and practice OSHA safety standards at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, including doctors, nurses, and front desk staff.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited program for Radiological Technology or Basic X-Ray Machine Operator required.
- A minimum of 1 year x-ray technologist work experience in a healthcare environment required; 2 years preferred.
- Licensed and/or certified if required by state regulations.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AMA) or American Red Cross required within the first 90 days of employment.
