Field Service Technician located in the McAlester or Holdenville, Oklahoma area: Provides technical support to both field services and customers involved in equipment maintenance. Installs, troubleshoots problems, and overhauls equipment. Provides support to customers requiring technical assistance. Provides support to customers requiring technical assistance. Serves as the area “expert” on field service issues/troubleshooting and field calls from the field service group and customers. Performs other tasks as needed or requested. Ensures a high level of customer service through practical technical assistance to customers. Sets up, analyzes/troubleshoots equipment. Instruct customer personnel on the proper handling and operating procedures of ESP equipment. Excellent customer relations skills to fulfill the customer’s requests. Ability to analyze and troubleshoot the performance of equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: may include any or all of the following.
- Perform scheduled preventive and corrective field mechanical service on gas compression units.
- Always professionally represent the Company and provide outstanding customer service while performing all assigned tasks.
- Responsible for daily submitting accurate maintenance reports, expense reports, timesheets, and other necessary paperwork.
- Inventory control: Manages the supply, storage, and accessibility of parts and tools to ensure an adequate supply to do the work without excessive oversupply or shrinkage.
- Diagnose engine/compressor failures accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct timely rebuilds/overhauls of compressors, engines and controls on gas compressor packages in the shop.
- Respond to recurring problems and emergency services, as needed.
- Help coordinate the setting of new units and conduct start-up testing.
- Other duties may include mechanical and electrical assignments regarding natural gas compressor systems and their appliances.

- Proven knowledge of machines and tools, materials, methods, and the tools involved in constructing or repairing compression units.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1-5 years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience are required.
- A minimum of one year in a vocational/ technical training or apprenticeship program is preferred.
Computer Skills FREQUENTLY: Computer (Intermediate Level), working on a computer daily will be required.
Certifications & Licenses:
