Cherishaven Hospice Hospice Aide
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Aide to join our team. As a Hospice Aide, you will provide essential care and support to patients in their homes or in assisted living facilities. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the comfort and well-being of our patients during their end-of-life journey
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance to patients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring patient safety at all times
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and pulse
- Assist with catheter care and other medical procedures as needed
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families
- Maintain a clean and organized environment for optimal patient comfort
- Follow all medical documentation protocols accurately and timely
Qualification:
- Must have a Valid Home Health Aide Certificate
- Valid CPR
- Drives a reliable car.
- Bilingual is a PLUS! (Chinese, Russian, Spanish speaking).
Experience
To be successful in this role, you should have the following experience:
- Previous experience in patient care or caregiving roles is preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation is a plus
- Experience working with patients in assisted living or memory care settings, skilled nursing and home patient is beneficial
- Knowledge of dementia care techniques is an advantage

Pay: $30.00 - $60.00 per hour
