POSITION
The lot attendant/porter will assist with receiving new shipments, ensure all accessories are included, move and arrange vehicles to optimize space. To ensure success you need to be accountable and employ prudence in performing your duties in a fast paced work environment. Top candidates are proficient multitaskers, organized, and can perform to a high level of accuracy while maintaining service excellence.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet showroom customers and determine the nature of their visit
- Answer basic customer inquiries and refer more extensive questions to the appropriate person
- Move and park cars on the lot
- Keep track of inventory and location of vehicles, update systems as necessary to reflect current location
- Make sure lot is neat and presentable, cars parked nicely, etc.
- Driving and handling all cars responsibly to ensure damage prevention, and protecting dealership property at all times
- Identify and seek out any issues or potential problems with vehicles and work to get them resolved
- Ensure all vehicles are 'test drive' ready and checklist items are complete on all vehicles
- Ensuring the cleanliness of the interiors and exteriors of cars on the lot
- Driving off-site to run dealership errands when required
- Affixing dealership license plates to all vehicles
- Battery jump start cars on occasion
- Informing supervisor of issues as they arise
- Printing and placing vehicle window stickers in all vehicles available for sale
- Maintain clean and presentable work area
- Maintain proper key inventory, resolving issues for any missing keys
- Take preliminary and final pictures of vehicles for company marketing/website
- Complying with all company policies and procedures
- Other tasks as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS

- Valid Maryland driver's license and clean driving record
- Working knowledge of basic car maintenance preferred
- Willingness to work irregular business hours including evenings, weekend, and holidays
- Willingness to learn and to perform a wide range of allocated tasks
- Technically savvy, ability to use computer systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Outstanding organizational skills, ability to problem solve
- The ability to lift at least 40 pounds or more
- Ability to drive manual transmission preferred
- Spanish speaking a plus
- Previous experience as a car porter, valet attendant, or similar

SCHEDULE
The weekly schedule for this position may flex slightly, however will generally be as follows. You will be allotted an unpaid 30 minute lunch break daily.
- Monday and Tuesday: 9 AM - 6 PM
- Wednesday: OFF
- Thursday: 10 AM - 6 PM
- Friday: 9 AM - 6 PM
- Saturday: 9 AM - 4 PM
- Note: we may be looking for 1 full time and 1 part time employee for this role, so if this schedule does not exactly match what you are looking for you are still encourage to apply. Both roles however will be required to work on Saturday.
