Commercial HVAC Maintenance Tech / Building Engineer – Full-Time

About the Role
We’re seeking a hardworking, honest, and professional Building Engineer/ HVAC Tech to join our small but dynamic team! In this critical onsite role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining a commercial real estate portfolio of approximately 30 buildings, 520,000 square feet, and serving over 250 tenants. You’ll play a key role in keeping our properties running smoothly, ensuring tenants receive top-notch service, and maintaining our facilities to the highest standards.
As the cornerstone of our maintenance operations, you will ensure the efficient performance of HVAC systems, prioritize tenant satisfaction, and maintain our facilities to the highest standards. A company van and tools are provided to help you excel in this role. We offer a competitive hourly rate and a robust benefits package.
Qualifications
Required Expertise:
• Extensive HVAC experience, including preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and some repair of complex systems. Familiarity with generators, filter replacement, and optimizing HVAC system performance.
• Solid knowledge of commercial building systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, etc.) and mechanical rooms.
Additional Skills:
• Strong communication, organization, and follow-up abilities.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
• Comfortable handling general building maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and minor repairs.
Requirements:
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Work vehicle provided (while onsite).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical work, including standing, walking, and working at heights.
Key Responsibilities
HVAC Maintenance:
• Perform regular preventative maintenance and inspections on HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC systems to ensure peak efficiency.
• Maintain and update records of HVAC performance and repairs.
Facility Maintenance:
• Conduct general maintenance of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, and mechanical components.
• Oversee small projects and vendor coordination under general supervision.
• Conduct regular property inspections to proactively address maintenance needs.
Tenant Support:
• Respond promptly and professionally to tenant maintenance requests.
• Build positive relationships with tenants through excellent service.
