Summary / Objective
The electrician position is responsible for installation and repair of electrical systems, apparatus, electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment following the electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints and other specifications.
Essential Functions

- Read blueprints or technical diagrams before doing work.
- Install and maintain wiring and lighting systems.
- Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers.
- Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices.
- Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
- Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electric Code.
- Direct and train employees to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring or equipment.
- Install electrical conduit.
- Maintain clean and orderly work area and follow company safety policies and procedures.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee will occasionally work in cramped spaces. The employee is frequently exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
Physical Demands

The employee is frequently required to stand; sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7 : 30 a.m. to 4 : 00 p.m., 40 hours per week. Overtime may be expected during projects or production equipment breakdown.
Travel
Travel may be expected to in-state and out-of-state company locations as needed.
