Job Description

Cherokee Casino Grove is hiring a Security Supervisor to play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for all guests and employees. This position involves supervising security personnel, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with all safety and security protocols.

NOTE : This position is considered safety-sensitive and is subject to pre-employment and random drug testing. Please note that a positive drug test result, including for marijuana, may result in a job offer being rescinded for applicants or termination of employment for current employees, even if they possess a valid medical marijuana license.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct the work of security personnel, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing guidance.
  • Ensure the safety and security of all guests, employees, and property.
  • Prevent and respond to incidents effectively and efficiently.
  • Conduct security checks and patrols throughout the assigned areas.
  • Monitor surveillance systems and respond to alarms.
  • Investigate incidents and prepare accurate and detailed reports.
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with guests, employees, and other departments.
  • Ensure compliance with all CNE security policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies as needed.
  • Conduct safety training and drills for security personnel.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in a related field (e.g., Criminal Justice, Security) preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in a security or law enforcement role.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required.
  • Completion of State of Oklahoma Council of Law Enforcement Education and Training or equivalent.
  • Possession of a valid State of Oklahoma CLEET armed security guard license.
  • Possession of a valid Cherokee Nation Armed Security Officer license.
  • Working knowledge of firearms and defensive tactics.
  • Experience with surveillance systems and chain of evidence procedures.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to make sound judgments and respond effectively to emergencies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to work in a casino environment, which may include exposure to second-hand smoke and crowd noise.
  • Ability to lift and carry objects up to 25 pounds.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
