What are the responsibilities and job description for the Health Science Instructor - 2025-2026 School Year position at Cherokee Co School District 1?
Qualifications:
Must have or be eligible for certification through the South Carolina State Department of Education, Office of Educator Certification, Recruitment, and Preparation; Career and Technology Work-Based Certification Program. Minimum of Associate Degree as a Health Care Professional; must possess a State Board of Nursing Registered Nurse's License or an approved nationally recognized Health Care Licensure or Registry; must have experience in Health Care profession as a licensed, certified, or registered professional (minimum of 2 years work experience). Must be CPR certified.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards
- Teach health science and nursing-related courses, incorporating hands-on learning experiences
- Provide clinical instruction and supervision in simulated and real-world healthcare settings
- Evaluate student performance and provide guidance for academic and career success
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and competencies
- Stay current with industry trends, technology, and best practices in healthcare education
- Ensure compliance with state and national healthcare and education regulations
- Collaborate with school administration and industry partners to enhance student learning opportunities
