Position Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and organized Substance Abuse Prevention Coordinator to oversee prevention efforts, including community outreach, education, and program implementation, in line with the Drug-Free Communities (DFC) Support Program. This is a temporary position funded through a grant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement, and evaluate substance abuse prevention programs targeting youth and the broader community.
- Facilitate collaboration between community stakeholders, including schools, law enforcement, healthcare providers, and civic organizations.
- Conduct educational presentations, workshops, and public awareness campaigns.
- Build relationships with diverse community groups to address local substance use challenges.
- Coordinate data collection and reporting to ensure program effectiveness and compliance with grant requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and assist with grant applications, progress reports, and budget oversight.
- Represent CCCADA at community events, coalition meetings, and training sessions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in public health, social work, education, or a related field.
- Preferred to have two years of experience in substance abuse prevention, community organizing, or public health programming.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to engage and collaborate with diverse populations.
