MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s degree or higher in education or related field.  Minimum of five successful years as an educator preferred.  Leadership experience at the school or district level preferred.  Strong knowledge of K-12 curriculum; ability to communicate effectively; strong organizational skills; considerable understanding of federal programs.

 

GOAL

Assist the Director of Federal Programs with ensuring the effective organization and operation of federal programs and funding, specifically related to curriculum and instruction, professional development, and parent engagement to maximize efficient use of all available resources to improve student achievement. 

 

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review data to design and implement professional learning related to at-risk learners. Lead and/or facilitate professional learning.
  • Collaborates with instructional staff, administrators and other agencies/organization to ensure the implementation of program goals and guidelines, communicates school improvement efforts to strengthen professional learning communities, standards-based education and increased student achievement.
  • Works with Title I School Planning Teams and staff to evaluate and ensure compliance with federal requirements for schools in the area of Schoolwide Planning, budget development, monitoring the academic program, program evaluation, program implementation, time and effort, parent involvement, etc.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the School Improvement Plan and Title I Plan.
  • Work cooperatively with Title I school staff and district personnel to provide strategies/scaffolds for learner support.
  • Provides supervision, support, and leadership development for Title I department personnel.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents or guardians, district and school personnel, and other stakeholders in ways that enhance student learning as it relates to at-risk learners and Title I.
  • Participate in training programs to increase skills and proficiency related to assignments to support Title I activities.
  • Compile, maintain and submit all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Provide and/or submit state and local reports, as scheduled and requested.
  • Possess and maintain valid and appropriate license, certificate and/or credential as may be required for this position.
  • Follow work scheduling and attendance requirements in a regular, predictable and punctual manner.
  • Participate in training programs to increase skills and proficiency related to the assignment.
  • Review current developments, literature and technical source information related to job responsibilities.
  • Follow Federal/State/District guidance as it relates to Title I.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
