What are the responsibilities and job description for the High School Student Worker-ASP/HS position at Cherokee County School District?
Position Title: ASP Teacher/Worker
Job Goal: To provide supervision and instruction for students
Reports To: After School Program Coordinator
Duties:
- Assists with roll call to ensure accountability for all students
- Assists in planning and implementing student activities for assigned classes
- Assists in maintaining proper records
- Assists in the distribution of snacks
- Actively supervises students during daily activities
- Maintains expectations for students’ behavior and safety and informs Assistant Coordinator of difficulties requiring disciplinary action
- Attends and participates in After School Program staff meetings and required training sessions
- Maintains a good attendance record and makes Assistant Coordinator aware when needing to be absent
- Follows appropriate procedures for emergencies such as student or staff health concerns, severe weather, suspected fire or facility issues
- Ensures adherence to good safety procedures
- Follows federal and state laws, as well as School Board policies
- Performs other duties as assigned
This position is a temporary assignment; payment based on hours worked, and as work is available, with no eligibility or seniority for employee benefits.
