Join our team as an Intake Specialist to complete intake processes with new clients, ensuring efficiency and compliance with organizational standards.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Afghan Community Intake Specialist: $ 55,000.00

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Afghan Community Intake Specialist Responsibilities Include: 

• Complete intakes and case closure for eligible Afghan population.
• Provide administrative duties for client assistance process.
• Maintain accurate records of client assessments.
• Work in partnership with Peer Support Specialists throughout service period.
• Participate at community enrollment fairs and service events operated by the program.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss client needs and best practices.
• Ensure language and cultural competency in support of program.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.[AS1] [LW2] 

Afghan Community Intake Specialist Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested: 

• One year experience in social work, counseling, or related fields preferred.
• Bilingual or Multilingual: (Pashto and/or Dari) communication skills are required.  
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively via oral and written means.
• Ability to present a positive demeanor to individuals, their families, staff, supportive services personnel, and the general public.
• Ability to travel between various local working locations.
• Ability to remain calm during difficult circumstances and emergencies.
• Advanced knowledge of social adjustment services. 
• Proficient in utilizing Outlook, Word, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Must pass pre-employment requirements of Cherokee Federal.
