Cybersecurity Technical Writer (Intermediate)
We are seeking a detail-oriented Cybersecurity Technical Writer to create, edit, and revise technical documentation that communicates complex cybersecurity information clearly and effectively to a broad range of audiences. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with cybersecurity concepts, practices, and standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA, Zero Trust, etc.). In addition, the ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, excellent writing skills, and the ability to convert highly technical concepts into user-friendly content. This role requires collaboration with engineers, analysts, and cybersecurity professionals to ensure accurate and accessible documentation is produced for various stakeholders.
Compensation & Benefits :
Estimated Starting Salary Range for Cybersecurity Technical Writer (Intermediate) : $105,000 to $115,000. Pay commensurate with experience. Full-time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.
Responsibilities Include :
- Write, edit, and format technical documents such as technical procedure manuals, user manuals, programming manuals, service manuals, operational specifications, and other cybersecurity-related publications.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather information, verify details, and ensure the accuracy of documentation.
- Develop content that meets industry standards and is tailored to technical and non-technical audiences, including end-users, engineers, and management.
- Translate complex technical jargon into clear, concise, and actionable documentation.
- Maintain consistency in terminology and structure across all documentation.
- Ensure all documentation aligns with organizational cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Conduct periodic reviews and updates of existing documentation to ensure it remains accurate and relevant.
- Assist in the development of cybersecurity training materials and guidelines as needed.
- Ensure that all deliverables meet quality and compliance standards, such as FISMA, NIST, or other relevant cybersecurity frameworks.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
