Senior Operations Analyst

As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen AND an active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain a  Secret clearance to be considered. 

The Principal Operations Analyst collects and analyzes data to evaluate operations and processes and to facilitate complex decision-making and follows established modeling and evaluation methodologies to determine the effectiveness of current operational activities, isolate problem areas and develop solutions. The Principal Operations Analyst tests and validates models and results and prepares reports that outline and rank proposed solutions and present a range of possible alternatives. Additionally, the Principal Operations Analyst may coordinate or provide guidance to high complexity or critical projects utilizing multiple resources.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Estimated Starting Salary Range for Senior Operations Analyst: Pay commensurate with experience.

Senior Operations Analyst Responsibilities Include: 

• Proficiency in tools like Excel, SQL, or Python for cleaning, manipulating, and transforming data.
• Understanding of statistical concepts and methods to analyze data and draw meaningful conclusions.
• Ability to create clear and informative visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Excel to communicate insights effectively.
• The ability to break down complex problems into smaller, manageable components and identify root causes.
• The capacity to evaluate information, identify patterns, and make informed decisions.
• Familiarity with problem-solving methodologies like Six Sigma or Lean.
• Ability to document and analyze existing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
• Process Optimization: Knowledge of process improvement techniques like Lean Six Sigma to streamline workflows and reduce costs.
• Change Management: Understanding of how to implement changes effectively and minimize resistance.
• Knowledge of business operations and how they relate to the organization's goals.
• Basic understanding of financial concepts and metrics to assess the impact of operational decisions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and build relationships.
• Familiarity with common business applications like ERP systems, CRM software, and data analysis tools.
• Understanding of automation tools and techniques to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Senior Operations Analyst Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested: 

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, a Master’s Degree is preferred
• 7 years of related experience 
• Depending on the industry, candidates may also need to have knowledge of specific regulations, standards, or best practices. 
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills are essential for operations analysts.
• Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
