Threat Intelligence Analyst

Cherokee Nation System Solutions, LLC is seeking a skilled Forensic Specialist to join our cybersecurity team, focused on investigating and analyzing digital information to identify potential cyber threats and support incident response. The Forensic Specialist will be responsible for gathering, preserving, and analyzing digital evidence, conducting forensic assessments of digital media, recovering data from damaged or compromised systems, and identifying threats in complex environments. The ideal candidate will apply critical thinking, perform gap analysis, and develop implementation plans to strengthen the organization’s risk management and forensic security programs.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Estimated Starting Salary Range for Threat Intelligence Analyst: Pay commensurate with experience.

Threat Intelligence Analyst Responsibilities Include:
- Conduct thorough forensic assessments on digital media, including hard drives, mobile devices, and network systems, to uncover digital evidence and support investigations.
- Gather, analyze, and document digital evidence, ensuring it is preserved according to forensic best practices and legal standards.
- Perform data recovery on damaged or corrupted systems, utilizing specialized tools and techniques to extract valuable information.
- Identify and analyze cyber threats by examining digital artifacts, assessing system vulnerabilities, and developing strategies to mitigate risks.
- Apply forensic security expertise to assess and protect the organization’s digital environment, supporting incident response and investigation efforts.
- Conduct gap analysis to identify areas for improvement within forensic procedures, security protocols, and risk management practices.
- Develop and implement risk management improvement plans to enhance forensic capabilities, strengthen security controls, and address identified vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to support security initiatives and improve forensic processes.
- Stay current on emerging digital forensic tools, technologies, and methodologies to ensure effective analysis and response to cyber incidents.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Threat Intelligence Analyst Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in digital forensics, with expertise in forensic assessment, evidence handling, and data recovery.
- Proficiency with forensic tools (e.g., EnCase, FTK, X-Ways) and familiarity with forensic best practices and legal requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience conducting gap analysis and developing actionable improvement plans.
- Knowledge of cyber threat analysis and incident response techniques.
- Preferred Skills:
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Computer Forensic Examiner (CCFE), GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA), EnCE).
- Experience with forensic analysis in cloud environments and advanced knowledge of network forensic techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex forensic findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
