Building and Grounds Worker
Monday-Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm
Full-time (40/hour per week)
Locations available: Talbott, TN

About our Building and Ground Workers:
Our building and ground workers are essential to the cultivation and care of the landscaping and grounds surrounding the buildings at Cherokee Health Systems.
What we are looking for:
A compassionate individual that has a high school diploma and one year of responsible experience in grounds keeping or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
What you will do:
- Perform grounds keeping and building maintenance duties as assigned.
- Cuts lawn using hand, power or riding mower; trims and edges around walks, flower beds, walls, etc.
- Blow grass clippings from all walkways and bedding.
- Plants grass, flowers, trees and shrubs; prunes shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth.
- Sprays lawns, trees and shrubs with fertilizers and insecticides.
- Pull weeds and apply mulch as needed to maintain landscaping.
- Removes snow and ice from building walkways and steps to keep customers and employees from falling.
- Rake or blow leaves and dispose of debris, clean and sweep litter.
- Water plants and grass as needed and apply fertilizer.
- May perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in grounds keeping.
- May perform routine laboring and maintenance duties when grounds keeping work has been completed.
- Other duties as assigned.
