What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cocktail Server (Full Time) - Gold Strike position at Cherokee Nation Businesses?
- Take orders and serve food and drinks efficiently and accurately in the work area as applicable.
- Place orders, garnish, and serve cocktails to guests.
- Maintain complete knowledge of menu items, liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic selections available.
- Knowledge of hotel services, features, local attractions, and activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
- Perform opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment including folding/stacking cocktail napkins, stock swizzle sticks, straws, matches, line cocktail trays, stock glassware, restock supply cabinet, inspect the cleanliness and condition of assigned station and service areas; rectify any deficiencies.
- Resolve guest complaints within the scope of authority; otherwise, refer the matter to management, and/or notify the supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft.
- Perform other job-related duties as requested.
- Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Six (6) months of experience as a cocktail and/or food server in a similar environment.
- Experience working in a similar resort setting.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:

- Knowledge of beverages on the menu, including characteristics of wine and champagne by the glass, major wines, liquor brands, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, terminology, and garnishes.
- Highly motivated and energetic personality.
- Able to take initiative and exhibit flexibility.
- Excellent customer service skills as well as interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
- Able to lead and mentor a team.
