The Director of Human Resources will partner with senior leadership to align HR strategy with overall company objectives, direct the employee relations function, and collaborate with HR peers to ensure seamless program implementation. A deep understanding of the gaming and hospitality industry is crucial, as is the ability to translate business needs into an integrated strategic People Plan. This role requires proactive identification of organizational and skill gaps, the development and implementation of solutions, and the establishment of a positive employee relations climate. The Director will serve as a consultant to leadership on a wide range of HR matters, including employee relations, performance management, organizational design, and change management.
- Partner with management to ensure alignment of the Human Resources strategy with the overall company’s strategic goals.
- Direct the employee relations function and collaborate with HR peers to seamlessly implement and execute HR programs.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of gaming and hospitality-specific business drivers and challenges.
- Assist in developing an integrated strategic People Plan based on current and future business needs, prioritizing efforts based on impact and resources.
- Proactively identify organizational and critical skill gaps within the gaming and hospitality workforce and propose and implement solutions.
- Establish, promote, and maintain a proactive and positive employee relations climate, interfacing with key stakeholders.
- Recommend policies, procedures, and process improvements to enhance employee engagement, departmental efficiency, and risk mitigation.
- Serve as a consultant to leadership, providing advice, counsel, guidance, and support on HR matters such as employee relations, performance management, organizational design, and change management.
- Partner with HRIS to implement and maintain technology to support the staffing function.
- Lead and develop a team of HR professionals.
- Fully support the Company’s mission and objectives.
- Continuously monitor HR compliance requirements and mitigate human capital risk.
- Stay abreast of current trends in Human Resources practices and management.
- Direct multiple departments through department managers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR certification is strongly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of employment law (federal and state).
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills with a focus on organizational and team success.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and analytical skills.
- Ability to provide consultation and build strong relationships with senior leadership, peers, and subordinates.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HR enterprise systems (HRIS).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a CNGC Gaming License.
