About the Position
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fountain Worker to join our team at Sweet Tea Restaurant. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and creating an outstanding guest experience in a fast-paced environment.
As a Fountain Worker, you will be expected to take and place orders efficiently, collect money, maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the work area, and perform other job-related tasks as requested.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a food handler in a high-volume fast-paced restaurant environment. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to effectively deal with all business contacts.
The role requires the ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. The candidate must be able to lift, carry, and push up to 80 lbs, and be comfortable standing for extended periods of time.
Key Responsibilities
• Efficiently take and place orders, serve food and drinks, and garnish as applicable in the work area.
• Collect money while adhering to proper cash handling and comp procedures.
• Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of both the front and back of house, including clearing tables and counters, sweeping, and ensuring the dining area remains clean without disrupting guest comfort.
• Pack and complete orders according to guests' preferences with any necessary condiments.
• Label and date products properly following safety and sanitation protocols.
• Perform opening and closing duties based on shift assignments.
• Unload warehouse orders and stock them in designated storage areas, maintaining organization, stocking, and replenishing products as needed in workstations, counters, tables, etc.
• Resolve guest complaints within the scope of authority; if not resolvable, refer the matter to management and notify the supervisor and/or Security of unusual events, missing items, or alleged theft.
• Perform other job-related tasks as requested.
