Hard Rock Casino & Hotel Tulsa is hiring a HR Generalist to play a versatile role that supports various HR functions, serving as a key point of contact for employees and management. This position prefers a strong understanding of HR principles, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle a wide range of HR-related tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Assist in guiding and interpreting HR policies and procedures for business operations.
- Participate in the development of HR objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and reports.
- Provide value-added tactical support to support organizational objectives.
- Assist in driving HR initiatives within the organization and liaise with HR leadership.
- Assist in developing and recommending procedural improvements and provide guidance and follow-up.
- Build productive work relationships with business leaders and team members.
- Work with HR managers to resolve employee relations issues.
- Design presentations and conduct new employee orientation.
- Conduct annual training for employees and leadership.
- Conduct HR compliance audits as needed.
- Handle assigned employee investigations.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least three (3) years of human resources experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Knowledge of principles and procedures to deal with employee relations issues.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills, including excellent attention-to-detail.
- Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to develop training manuals and procedural improvements.
- Excellent oral communication skills to explain procedural improvements and employment issues.
- Ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS system.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to use data to identify opportunities and/or create solutions.
- Ability to remain impartial to both employees and management when making decisions.
- Ability to defend unemployment claims.
- Ability to maintain the highest-level of confidentiality of personal and sensitive data.
- Ability to travel, including overnight stays.
