Cherokee Casino Tahlequah is seeking a Part-time Player Services Cashier to play a vital role in providing a positive and enjoyable gaming experience for guests. This position involves handling a variety of financial transactions, promoting the casino's rewards program, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Process a wide range of cash and non-cash transactions for guests, including chip issuance and redemption, currency exchanges, and check cashing.
- Promote and explain rewards program benefits, on-going promotions, and other relevant information to guests.
- Enroll guests into the rewards program and issue membership cards.
- Conduct entry-level player evaluations and make outbound calls as needed.
- Verify and distribute payments for jackpots and special payouts.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions.
- Handle guest requests, disputes, and complaints professionally.
- Safeguard company assets and reconcile daily transactions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- One year of cash handling or customer service experience preferred.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical computations accurately.
- Knowledge of casino games and property amenities.
- Ability to learn and explain gaming promotions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and often demanding environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to work in a casino environment, which may include exposure to second-hand smoke and crowd noise.
- Ability to obtain and maintain licensing by the appropriate gaming authority.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
