Cherokee Casino Tahlequah is seeking an Armed Security Guard to play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of all individuals within the CNE property. This position involves patrolling the property, monitoring for suspicious activity, responding to incidents, and taking appropriate action to ensure the well-being of guests and employees.

- Protect the safety and security of guests, employees, and property assets.
- Prevent guests from entering premises with prohibited items.
- Patrol CNE properties, including casinos, smoke shops, and parking lots.
- Greet guests, provide directions, and offer assistance as needed.
- Respond to accidents and incidents, including providing first aid and CPR when necessary.
- Detect and report suspicious activity and behavior.
- Maintain a good working relationship with local law enforcement agencies.
- Prepare and maintain detailed written reports of all incidents.
- Ensure compliance with CNE age requirements and policies.
- Perform operational knowledge of excluded persons.
- Prepare written reports of investigations, criminal, and patrol activities.
- Interview witnesses and obtain signatures while complying with legal regulations.
- High School Diploma or GED and 6 months of experience in security or law enforcement.
- Valid State of Oklahoma Council of Law Enforcement, Education, and Training (CLEET) armed security guard license.
- Valid Cherokee Nation Armed Security Officer license.
- Working knowledge of firearms and defensive tactics.
- Working knowledge of surveillance systems and chain of evidence procedures.
- Ability to pass CNE security approved custody control and weapons training.
- Ability to obtain and maintain licensing by the appropriate gaming authority.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong observational and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and alert in stressful situations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a variety of settings, including outdoors in all types of weather.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a casino environment, which may include exposure to second-hand smoke and crowd noise.
