Job Summary:
Performs routine cleaning duties to maintain the cleanliness of the facility, adhering to standards set by regulatory agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintains the cleanliness of floors through regular sweeping, mopping, waxing, and/or vacuuming.
- Ensures bathroom facilities are sanitized and replenished with essential supplies.
- Collects and disposes of trash from receptacles on a daily basis.
- Inspects and maintains the orderliness of supply rooms, reporting any discrepancies to supervisors.
- Identifies and reports structural damage or needed repairs to management.
- Handles and disposes of bio-hazardous materials according to established infection control policies.
Qualifications:
- High school education or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of six months experience in a related field is necessary.
- Must possess basic repair skills for minor structural issues.
- Cannot be under sanction by relevant government agencies, including the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General or the General Services Administration.
Physical Demands:
The position requires frequent standing, walking, and use of hands to perform tasks. Employees must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds regularly, with occasional heavier lifts. Specific vision abilities include close vision and focus adjustment.
Work Environment:
Employees frequently work in areas with fumes or airborne particles. Outside weather conditions and exposure to wet and/or humid environments may occur occasionally. Moderate noise levels are typical in the work environment.
