Job Summary
Works as a team member to assist in obtaining program goals and objectives, develops and prepares instructional material for presentations in Cherokee Traditional Arts and Crafts.
Job Duties
Works as a team member to assist in obtaining program goals and objections. Instructs students in Cherokee Traditional Arts and Crafts. Assesses and maintains instructional materials and an inventory of supplies and equipment. Presents Cultural Presentations to the schools and communities. Develops and prepares instructional material for cultural presentations. Prepares handouts, brochures, and/or booklets for learning sessions. Operates audio/visual equipment and disburses handouts as needed. Provides Transportation to/from events for HACN residents. Other duties may be assigned.
Commerce Services Employees Only
Create Cherokee art for resale on behalf of the Spider Gallery Shop.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one (1) year of specialized training or education.Â
Experience Requirement
An additional one (1) year experience in a related field.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
Other Skills And Abilities
Must have knowledge of Cherokee Arts and Crafts.
Other Qualifications
Employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers; or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care.
PHYSICAL DEMANDSÂ
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and may taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Commerce Services requires the employee to lift up to 25 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
