What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transporter **Grant Funded position at Cherokee Nation?
Responsible for providing transportation for clients and ensuring vehicles are properly maintained.
Job Duties:Picks up clients as assigned and transports. Assists passengers to enter and leave the vehicle. Be available to wait on clients for appointments or other scheduled visits. Performs assigned errands such as picking up items/equipment or other supplies needed for the program and clients. Keeps cars and equipment clean, polished, and in operating condition. Responsible for scheduling repairs and routine maintenance for vehicles. Provides feedback to program management regarding any client issues, concerns, or recommendations observed while transporting. Maintains adequate first aid supplies to store in the vehicle. Composes and submits reports as required, including maintaining trip logs. Obeys all applicable traffic laws, drives the posted speed limits, and wears safety belts. Ensures all passengers wear safety belts. Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No supervisory responsibility.
Qualifications:EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); no exceptions.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
No additional experience required.
COMPUTER SKILLS
No computer skills required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets the requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating. Must possess or obtain First Aid and CPR certifications within six (6) months of hire and maintain throughout employment.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE). Must not have any felony convictions.
Must meet and maintain periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. The employee must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to correct/adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly be exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The employee may occasionally be exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
