Certified Nurse Assistant-Long Term CareReports to : Director of NursingLocation : Heartland Care CenterPOSITION SUMMARY : The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for a variety of tasks and services to assist in the provision of care and comfort for patients under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). The CNA will report and record observations and contribute to the efficient functionality of the department.ANTICIPATED SCHEDULE : 24 hours weekly, 2pm to 10 : 30pm with every other weekend
- Required : Completion of accredited Nursing Assistant program
- Required : Must be 16 years of ageLicense / Registration / Certification :
- Required : Active Nursing Assistant certification within state of Iowa
- Required : Must have or obtain active BLS within orientation periodExperience :
- Preferred : Prior CNA experienceKnowledge / Skills / Abilities :
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, required.
- Ability to operate a personal computer with a general understanding of application software, and an understanding of the Internet.
- Ability to learn office and organization-specific software.
- Ability to adapt to flexible patient schedules and frequent interruptions.
