Proposal Strategist

Proposal Strategists manage and execute the proposal process for complex Assurance, Tax, and Advisory engagements, managing multiple proposals at once. They utilize exceptional writing, project management and communication skills to develop and ensure on-time delivery of compelling, compliant proposals in response to formal Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotes (RFQs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and oral presentations, as well as proactive proposals/statements of qualification. As a Senior contributor, they provide teams with assistance on effective pursuit strategies/tactics based on experience and best practices.

Manage stakeholders for end-to-end execution of complex RFPs (includes coordinating proposal process steps, scheduling, writing/editing content, developing positioning strategy, maintaining quality control checks, working across the organization to assimilate information, providing feedback to partners/directors, change management, and adhering to tight deadlines)

• Intake RFx’s, coordinating the review process across departments (such as Legal, Finance, IT, P&C, and technical teams)
• Assess proposal response requirements and develop a plan to ensure complete, compliant, and on-time delivery of proposals
• Use proposal content management software to plan, draft, review and manage proposals with pursuit team members
• Actively contribute to strategy discussions to assess opportunities, make go/no go decisions, clarify scopes of work, gain insights, and develop differentiators (industry/service line) to create winning proposals
• Coordinate and edit proposal input from multiple sources, ensuring consistency with the Firm’s brand and voice
• Support pursuit teams in multiple service lines, partnering with knowledge, business development and shared services teams to complete proposals
• Create, edit and update standard content, practice descriptions, bios, service approaches, past performance (case studies, project examples), value messaging, references and other content on a routine or as-needed basis
• Support oral presentations, bid defenses, and/or BAFO requests
• Uphold brand standards in all deliverables
• Assist in delegating proposal requests and subtasks across the proposal team
• Assist in tracking proposal production and results

Maintain a consistent commitment to team and self-development

• Perform basic research to better understand material and inform writing
• Maintain content in proposal content management system
• Assist with developing self-serve resources
• Review work from Proposal Specialists (US and GSS), providing coaching and mentorship in best practices
• Champion platforms/technologies/activities and expectations that support the proposal process

Competencies

• Proposal writing, grant writing, or business development/sales support experience, preferably in a professional services environment

The hiring range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000. Individual offers will take into consideration experience, location, and budget.
