Cherry Brook Health Care Center, a division of New Horizons, Inc., is a 100 bed skilled nursing facility that offers short-term rehabilitation, long –term respite, hospice and out patient rehab services. Our dedicated staff provides individualized care with compassion, dignity and respect. Located in Canton, CT; our facility has spacious private and semiprivate rooms, a well-appointed dining area, comfortable lounges and a beautiful landscaped outdoor terrace.

PURPOSE OF YOUR POSITION :
Provide administrative and support services to the Administrator, Director of Nursing and all Department Heads on an as-needed basis.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE :
- Receive office visitors, calls, mail, and general clerical work.
- Provide cordial and efficient office reception for visitors, guests, and residents.
- Operate administration telephone / intercom system, direct calls and take messages.
- Perform data processing for the Administrator, Director of Nursing, and other departments as authorized by the Administrator.
- Keep records and / or charts of matters affecting Cherry Brook, its residents, and its staff.
- Create flyers and post items of special interest.
- Schedule appointments.
- Operate, maintain and provide support for office equipment and supplies.
- Maintain administrative files and documents.
- Attend and assist in events as needed.
- Oversee the reception staff and hospitality initiatives.
- Assist with required state documentation related to regulatory compliance in a nursing home.
- Assist with in services or educational efforts.
- Manage and complete special projects as directed.
- Other related duties as directed by the Administrator.

High school diploma or equivalent.
