About the Role:
The RN Staff Development position at Cherry Brook Health Care Center is pivotal in ensuring that nursing staff are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care. This role involves designing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs that enhance the professional development of nursing staff. The RN will collaborate with various departments to identify training needs and develop curricula that align with best practices in healthcare. Additionally, the RN will mentor and support staff in their ongoing education, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in patient care. Ultimately, the goal of this position is to enhance the overall competency of the nursing team, leading to improved patient outcomes and satisfaction. This RN will be a part of the nursing leadership team at Cherry Brook and will help drive quality improvement initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of CT.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience.
- Experience in Skilled Nursing Facilities is preferred.
- Strong passion for education, empowering the nursing team to learn and grow and strong communication skill is essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in staff development or nursing education.
- Certification in nursing education is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for nursing staff.
- Conduct regular assessments to identify educational needs and gaps in knowledge.
- Facilitate workshops, seminars, and hands-on training sessions.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure alignment with current best practices.
- Participate in on call rotation as needed.
