What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate position at Cherry City Electric?
Cherry City Electric is seeking a full time Warehouse Associate. The primary objective of the Warehouse Associate is to support the Logistics Manager with administrative tasks that will allow the manager to spend more time in the warehouse supporting other employees and processes in the warehouse. This position requires knowledge of the electrical construction industry focusing on the material, warehousing & delivery process.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain inventory control using Sapphire software suite
- Receive, log, track & store all forms of electrical material & equipment
- Load & offload vehicles
- Operate warehouse equipment
- Assist QA/QC of switch gear & light fixtures cross referencing against approved submittals
- Assist with timekeeping duties for field employees
- Assist Prefab Foreman with material take-off for Prefab orders
- Coordinate with vendors, trucks & delivery drivers
- Assist purchasing agent with filing and follow-up paperwork such as backorders
Requirements:
- Trade related education or industry related experience preferred
- Must know commercial & industrial electrical industry, material & equipment
- Excellent computer skills – proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Strong organizational skills
- Self-starter who will offer their skills to improve the documentation processes
- A good attitude and the ability to work in a team environment
- Strong communication skills
