JOB SUMMARY: Instructs student athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success. At the same time, the student athlete shall receive instruction that will lead to the formulation of moral values, pride of accomplishment, acceptable social behavior, self-discipline, and self-confidence. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following tasks describe the basic functions of the job and represent the type of work performed. They do not constitute an exhaustive list of the duties and responsibilities performed on the job. The following frequencies and percentage of time spent are approximations only and are subject to flexibility dependent on organizational needs.

• The coach reports to the high school athletic director. [5%]
• The coach is responsible for, and supervises all aspects of their level of the program with direction of the coaches. [30%]
• Provides the Athletic Director with information pertaining to his/her level of the program (scores, schedules, sites, discipline concerns, procedures and is directly responsible for inventory of supplies and equipment, etc.)  [5%]
• Schedules and attends practice sessions, develops and implements individual/team training plans by the day, week, month, year as appropriate for their level in conjunction with the overall program goals/philosophy. [45%]
• Makes sure each athlete is cleared from the athletic office to participate.
  Complies with the rules and regulations as established by CCSD, Centennial League, and the Broncos Pilot Manual. [5%]
• Monitors athlete’s attendance/behavior/academic status. [5%]
• Understands the signs and symptoms of concussion and removes players that are exhibiting signs and symptoms of concussion.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. [Daily, 5%]

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The minimum amounts of formal education, professional work experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities that must be met for a candidate to be considered for a position

• Assist with the organization and developing the high school program.
• Has previous successful teaching, coaching and/or sport participation experience.
• Basic knowledge of flag football.
• Understands the signs and symptoms of concussion and removes players that are exhibiting signs and symptoms of concussion.
• CPR & AED Certification required. 
• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hire

MINIMUM CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES: The minimum certifications and licenses that must be met, valid, and unexpired for a candidate to be considered for a position

• Medium work strength level (lifting or carrying 50 pounds)
• Overhead lifting and squatting required on a daily basis.
• Repetitive motion.
• Standing, bending and kneeling.
• Eye/hand coordination.
• Handling, talking, hearing and near acuity required.
