JOB SUMMARY: Assess and provide intervention to ensure student success and promote an exemplary educational program which fosters achievement for all students.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The subsequent duties outline the fundamental operations of the position and exemplify the nature of the tasks carried out. They do not encompass a comprehensive inventory of the obligations and responsibilities fulfilled in this role. The approximation of frequencies and time allocation percentages are flexible and subject to the requirements of the organization. Perform in all areas of counseling services including, but not limited to: guidance services, counseling services, registration process, scheduling, testing/assessments, student academic advisement and orientation programs for students, parents and staff.
Daily 50%
Gather, interpret and evaluate data for program modification and interventions.
Daily 20%
Align assessments with state content standards.
Daily 10%
Positively impact achievement and differentiate services based on the needs of the students by supporting programs designed to increase student achievement.

Participate collaboratively with teaching teams to help design curriculum and assessments and pursue best teaching practice.

Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

- Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
- Bachelor's degree
- Three (3) years of Successful counseling and teaching experience
- Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Services Provider (SSP) license
- CDE School Counselor (PreK-12) endorsement
- Strong communication, organization and planning skills
- Experience in an educational environment
- Experience with concurrent enrollment and ASCENT programming
- Sedentary work strength level (lifting or carrying up to ten pounds)
- Works both indoors and outdoors
- Typically a moderate noise level
- Experience working in the public sector
- Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds
