SUMMARY:

A teacher will perform effective teaching methods to ensure student success and promote an exemplary educational program which fosters achievement for all students. Develops and promotes good relations among community and school clientele.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : The following tasks describe the basic functions of the job and represent the type of work performed. They do not constitute an exhaustive list of the duties and responsibilities performed on the job. The following frequencies and percentage of time spent are approximations only.

• 1. Demonstrates dedication and a passion to create and maintain a supportive, nurturing classroom environment that allows students to experience the joy of academic success.
  2. Strong communication skills as well as a willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues.
  3. An ability to establish and maintain parent partnerships that allow for open conversation on student performance and progress monitoring.
  4. An ability to integrate and expand on the use of technology to support instruction.
  5. Belief in differentiation of instruction to support the needs of diverse learners.
  6. Strong classroom management skills.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficiency in using technology
• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hire.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS :

All certifications, licenses, and registrations must be valid and unexpired.

• Hold a valid Colorado Education License or Substitute Authorization

CDE Licensed Teacher, Endorsement Required: English/LA or equivalent to be considered In Field (Degree, Praxis, 36 semester hours) Concurrent Enrollment Credentials (MA in English/Literature/Creative Writing or any MA 18 graduate hours in English)

This opportunity will instruct 2 sections of Concurrent Enrollment 1015 (Intro to Lit); 3 sections American Lit Honors (11), and Advisory (10).
