Cherry Gulch is a small therapeutic residential treatment program in Emmett, Idaho, accredited by Cognia. Our academic department aims to reinvest students in the learning process through individual, dynamic, multi-sensory education to develop them into independent and organized learners, problem solvers, and effective communicators. We do this through a balance of therapy and individualized classroom instruction. Our students range in age from 10-16 years old, are enrolled in grades 5-9, and present with various emotional and behavioral challenges that impact their ability to learn.
Cherry Gulch is hiring teachers to finish the 2024-25 school year and the 2025-26 school year! We are seeking a talented educator to join our team and help strengthen our Special Education program. Our ideal candidate has a strong background in supporting students with social and emotional challenges and enjoys working collaboratively with our residential, academic, and clinical teams. Dual certification is a plus but not required.

Qualifications:
- Must be over 21 years of age.
- Must have a valid Idaho Teacher Credential.
- Special Education Teacher Credential is a plus.
- Must be able to be on feet for the full school day.
- Must have a clean Criminal History Record.
- Experience working with adolescents preferred.
Responsibilities include:
- Working with students individually and in small groups on social skills, mood regulation, and academic support.
- Follow Idaho’s standards and benchmarks for curriculum development.
- Delivers material with a high degree of relational engagement, group process, and experiential methodology.
