As a Produce Market Associate, you will play a key role in creating an inviting, fresh, and well-organized produce department. You’ll be responsible for maintaining product quality, assisting customers with produce-related questions, and ensuring the area is clean, well-stocked, and visually appealing. Your attention to detail and passion for fresh food will help provide a great shopping experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stock and rotate fresh fruits and vegetables to ensure optimal quality and presentation
- Monitor produce displays for freshness, removing expired or damaged items
- Provide friendly and knowledgeable assistance to customers with produce selection and storage advice
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the produce area
- Unpack deliveries, inspect shipments, and report discrepancies
- Operate scales, pricing tools, and other equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist with setup and breakdown of displays and promotional materials
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
