Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Baker to join our team! The ideal candidate has experience working with various baked goods, is detail-oriented, and brings creativity and consistency to the kitchen. You'll be responsible for preparing and baking breads, pastries, cookies, cakes, and other bakery items to meet high-quality standards and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a wide range of baked goods, including pies, cookies, and specialty items.
- Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment.
- Operate and maintain bakery equipment such as mixers and ovens.
- Monitor baking process to ensure products are baked to perfection.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of baking station and kitchen.
- Ensure all baked goods meet quality, freshness, and presentation standards.
- Assist with inventory and ordering of supplies as needed.
- Follow health and safety guidelines, including food handling and sanitation standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a baker, pastry chef, or similar role preferred.
- Knowledge of baking techniques and understanding of food safety practices.
- Ability to follow recipes and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Creativity and passion for baked goods and desserts.
- Flexibility to work mornings, weekends, and holidays if needed. No work on Sundays.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
