Patient Advocate – FULL TIME – TUES thru SAT

Full-Time Hours available Tues-Saturday at Cherry Hill Women’s Center, a state licensed ambulatory surgical center. CHWC has delivered excellence in abortion and reproductive healthcare for over 45 years. In this fast-paced medical environment team members are committed to advocating and caring for women seeking legal, safe, compassionate abortion care, in addition to assistance for adoption services and prenatal care.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Bilingual Patient Advocate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Spanish or another language and will play a crucial role in supporting our patients through their healthcare journey. This position involves meeting with patients to discuss their procedures, answering questions, counseling on birth control options, and troubleshooting barriers to care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Meet with patients to explain procedures and what to expect.
• Answer patient questions and provide clear, accurate information
• Identify and troubleshoot barriers to care, providing solutions and support.
• Promote a patient-centered care model.
• Document patient interactions and maintain accurate records in the electronic medical records system.
• Serve as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers.
• Counsel patients on birth control options.

Required Qualifications:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong compassion, non-judgement and empathy for patients.
• High comfort level discussing sensitive topics such as abortion, pregnancy loss, and domestic violence.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Fluency in Spanish or another language strongly preferred.
• 1-2 years of full-time work experience in a related field and/or Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Background in human services or counseling.
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting.
