Housekeeper-Assisted Living

Cherry Hills Assisted Living and Memory Care is a unique senior living community that has applied thoughtful consideration into every step in creating our new, boutique living experience. We are seeking to hire a highly qualified Housekeeper who would like to grow with a community with the best service possible. We are looking for someone that has previous experience working as a housekeeper within an assisted living and/or memory care community, and is knowledgeable in the governing laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to the housekeeping in an assisted living community. The Candidate will have a passion for serving seniors, and a commitment to help provide quality care and a safe and friendly environment. CHAL is an 85-unit senior living community located within sprawling deKoevend Park in Centennial, Colorado. Our community has 29 Memory Care suites and 56 Assisted Living Suites.

**Tuesdays-Saturdays schedule 8:30am-4:30pm, must be available for this weekly schedule (no exceptions)**

Core Duties:

• Housekeepers will be responsible maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards for the housekeeping department.
• Housekeepers will be responsible for knowledge in both housekeeping and laundry functions.
• Housekeepers will be responsible for the cleanliness and proper sanitation of all the resident suites, common areas of the community, and administrative offices.
• Housekeepers will be responsible for detailed cleaning of suites weekly per community policy and cleaning suites after resident move out as part of the room turn process.

Candidates job requirements

• Candidate must have knowledge and understanding of assisted living regulations.
• Candidate has a minimum of one (1) year experience working as a housekeeper in an assisted living and/or memory care community or similar environment.
• Candidate is preferred to have experience in providing services in an environment for seniors with dementia.
• Candidate is preferred to have first aid certification.
• Candidate must possess the ability to effectively manage stressful or emergency situations.
• Candidate must be able to work independently, be able to self-direct and be motivated to work.
• Candidate must be able to pass a full drug screen and pass a national background check.
• Candidate must be able to multi task.
• Candidate must have dependable and reliable transportation to meet schedule expectations.
• Candidate may be required to work weekends and holidays.
• Candidate will perform other duties as assigned or needed.

• Housekeepers will communicate with co-workers to aid in required care for residents for consistent quality of services.
• Housekeepers will be expected to exhibit genuine interest in the residents and show patience and understanding while working with residents, families and visitors.
• Housekeepers will be expected to communicate and document any observed changes in condition of each resident.
• Housekeepers are expected to participate in in-service educational classes/meetings, on-the-job-training programs, etc., as scheduled or directed.
• Housekeepers must be creative and willing to share ideas to help maintain an environment that supports both the residents and all staff.
• Housekeepers are encouraged to voice ideas, opinions and solutions. The voice of each staff member is truly valued to promote a positive work environment.
• Housekeepers must have excellent communication skills and possess the ability to deal tactfully and professionally at all times with medical professionals, personnel, residents, family members and guests..

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.50 per hour
