The goal of the Department of Athletics at Cherry Hills Christian School is to provide an environment of competition, cooperation and teamwork for our students that glorifies God and provides valuable life lessons. Winning the contest is important to any competitor, but the lessons learned in the heat of competition are the most important attributes to be gained from the contest.

Position Title: Head Football Coach
Campus Location: Cherry Hills Christian School
Reports To: Director of Athletics
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Plan and conduct a 1-hour practice session, 3 days per week.
· Coach 1 game per week.
· Distribute and collect team uniforms
· Communicate with players and parents about expectations of our program.
· Create a positive environment for all players.
· Work closely and in collaboration with the Athletic Director
· Respect professional ethics that require confidentiality
· Follow procedures as set by Athletic Director
· Have a personal and passionate relationship with Jesus Christ and a calling to serve as a positive Christian role model to our students
· Be a dedicated and loyal team member supporting all school level activities and school-wide initiatives
· Possess a strong desire to coach and develop athletes middle school level
· Be a responsible steward of the school’s resources.
POSITION TYPE: Seasonal, Part-time, Non Exempt
HOURS: August through October, Mon/Wed/Fri, 3:30pm – 4:30pm practices, and Tuesday games as scheduled
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
· Must have a strong and growing relationship with Jesus Christ and it should be evident in both the personal and professional life.
· Must agree to the mission statement, values, and faith statement.
· Must be able to uphold and support the mission statement, values, and faith statement.
· Have prior experience in coaching at the and/or collegiate playing experience
· Possess the ability to mentor student athletes in their Christian faith, athletic skills and life skills
· Be adept at engaging with student athletes and families; helpful in making parents confident in their choice of Cherry Hills Christian
· Understand and embrace Christian education, having a biblical perspective on athletics and competition
· Be able to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
· Be personable, energetic and approachable
· Report to work on a regular and punctual basis
· Be committed to further education in a related field
· Demonstrate excellent communication skills
· Be willing to collaborate with colleagues
· Be proficient in technology
· Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
· High School Diploma or higher
· Previous experience is preferred.
Salary : $1,200 - $1,700
