Description:

The Communications Ministry Coordinator is a support role focused on executing the tactical and administrative aspects of CHCC’s communication efforts. This position is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate distribution of digital and print content while supporting the daily operations of the communications department. By managing data entry, content scheduling, and asset organization, the coordinator plays a vital role in maintaining consistency and engagement across all communication platforms. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively to enhance CHCC’s outreach and messaging.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Upload and organize weekend service assets such as sermon notes, graphics, videos, and resources on designated online platforms, ensuring proper formatting and timely release.
  • Perform data entry and manage updates for CHCC’s website, social media accounts, and email communications, ensuring all digital content remains current and accurate.
  • Assist in the creation and distribution of newsletters, bulletins, and promotional materials following established templates and guidelines.
  • Schedule and post content across digital platforms as directed by the communications team.
  • Assist in coordinating promotional efforts for church events by executing predefined workflows.
  • Respond to routine communication inquiries and escalate issues as needed.
  • Support and uphold CHCC’s mission with a Christ-centered, servant-hearted attitude.
  • Respond to emails, voicemails, and communication requests promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain confidentiality and communicate with sensitivity and care.
  • Complete tasks with excellence and efficiency.
  • Steward church technology, including computers, printers, and office software, effectively.
  • Participate in church-wide events and initiatives as needed.
  • Follow CHCC policies and maintain high ethical standards.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with general administrative tasks as needed to support the Communications team.
  • Provide technical support for live-streaming and online engagement tools when required.
  • Stay updated on emerging communication tools and best practices to enhance CHCC’s outreach.
  • Apply feedback and seek learning opportunities.
  • Attend department and all-staff meetings, Chapel, and Teachings.
  • Foster team unity by supporting and assisting teammates.
  • Uphold CHCC’s six core staff values: exalt, praise, accountable, effort, empathy, and unity.
  • Warmly welcome and serve guests
  • Complete all projects with excellence and efficiency
  • Model servant leadership and exhibit a helpful, joyful attitude
  • Any other tasks and duties as assigned
Requirements:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Associate’s degree or relevant coursework in Communications, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite & the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience with data entry, content management systems, and social media platforms.
  • Basic proficiency in graphic design and video editing tools is a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and follow directions.
  • Familiarity with faith-based organizations is a plus but not required.
  • Flexible schedule, including availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle high-pressure situations with grace and efficiency.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Must successfully complete a background check.
