The Marketing Strategist develops and executes communication strategies that align with CHCC’s mission. This role ensures messaging is clear, consistent, and engaging across all platforms to enhance outreach and community connection. Working with the Communications Director, the strategist strengthens engagement through digital and traditional media, supporting church initiatives and fostering meaningful connections.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and implement communication strategies to support church initiatives and outreach.
- Craft messaging that welcomes, supports, and connects individuals at all stages of faith.
- Create compelling content that fosters engagement and encourages discipleship.
- Maintain consistent branding and messaging across digital, print, and in-person platforms.
- Improve access to church information through clear communication channels.
- Leverage digital marketing to expand reach and engagement.
- Segment key audience groups and tailor messaging for maximum impact.
- Utilize engagement metrics to refine and enhance communication strategies.
- Coordinate church-wide communications that inform, inspire, and encourage connection.0
- Personalize app content to create a more engaging and connected user experience.
- Reduce reliance on bulk email by driving engagement through digital platforms.
- Enhance guest retention through targeted follow-up strategies.
- Support and uphold CHCC’s mission with a Christ-centered, servant-hearted attitude.
- Respond to emails, voicemails, and communication requests promptly and professionally.
- Maintain confidentiality and communicate with sensitivity and care.
- Complete tasks with excellence, and efficiency.
- Steward church technology, including computers, printers, and office software, effectively.
- Participate in church-wide events and initiatives as needed.
- Follow CHCC policies and maintain high ethical standards.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support special projects and unique initiatives as assigned.
- Research and apply innovative tools to enhance engagement.
- Maintain and organize church communication archives and historical materials.
- Apply feedback and seek learning opportunities.
- Attend department and all-staff meetings, Chapel and Teachings.
- Foster team unity by supporting and assisting teammates.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field preferred.
- Two years’ experience in a communications or marketing role will be considered.
- Proven experience in developing and executing communication strategies.
- Experience with digital marketing, content creation, and social media management.
- Familiarity with church or nonprofit communications is a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office & the Adobe Creative Suite
