Start Date and Hours: May 5th – 35 hours per week estimated
Job Overview: This position offers supervisory responsibilities and requires a proactive and organized professional who can effectively manage multiple aspects of our fitness center. The Fitness Concierge will oversee group fitness scheduling, personal training invoicing and billing, fitness facility upkeep and maintenance, and member orientations. Additionally, this role will include performing duties as a Smoothie Bar Operator.
Supervisory Duties:
- Oversee and manage the group fitness schedule, ensuring classes are well-organized and staffed appropriately.
- Manage personal training invoicing and billing, ensuring accurate records and timely payments.
- Coordinate and monitor fitness equipment upkeep and maintenance to ensure all equipment is clean, functional, and safe for member use.
- Conduct member orientations to familiarize new members with the facility, equipment, and available programs.
- Supervise and provide guidance to fitness staff, ensuring all employees are fulfilling their duties effectively.
- Develop and implement staff training programs to enhance knowledge, skills, and performance.
- Monitor employee performance and provide feedback, coaching, and support as needed.
- Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during business hours.
- Handle member concerns, feedback, and conflict resolution to maintain high member satisfaction.
Smoothie Bar Duties:
- Prepare smoothie/coffee orders, operate the POS system, and track inventory.
- Maintain smoothie bar cleanliness and ensure supplies are stocked.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and foster a welcoming environment.
- Manage weekend staff to ensure successful operations seven days per week.
Qualifications:
- Outgoing personality with excellent communication skills.
- General knowledge of fitness equipment, workouts, and training programs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer service experience with a positive and approachable demeanor.
- Previous experience in a supervisory role, preferably within a fitness or hospitality setting.
- Ability to lift light to moderate weights and perform light cleaning tasks as required.
Compensation:
This is a seasonal position offered at $25 per hour with a typical work week of Monday-Friday from 6:30am-1:30pm.
Flexible scheduling may be needed based on business needs.
- Sick pay up to 48 hours a year - accrued based on hours worked
