Bakery Assistant

Job Summary

As a Bakery Assistant, you will support the daily operations of our bakery, ensuring that high-quality baked goods are produced and presented to our customers. This role requires attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and baking of various pastry items and baked goods.
• Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in product quality.
• Handle food safely and adhere to all food handling regulations.
• Package finished products for display and sale.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery workspace.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their selections and answering any inquiries.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely, including ovens, mixers, and knives.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and maintain a positive work environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a bakery or food production environment is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of pastry techniques and food handling practices is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with customers.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn new skills related to baking and food preparation.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
