Summary of Responsibilities:
- Execution and production of daily work orders in accordance with HACCP and FSMA rules.
- Perform all duties while following GMPs daily.
- Ensure all PPE is worn in accordance with our trained, documented and signed GMPs
- Participate in audits as assigned by the Production Supervisor, Plant Manager, or QC Manager
- Feedback to Management staff (product quality, machine down time, etc.)
- Continuous Improvement - actively seeks ways to improve the process and sharing in Daily Huddles with Supervisor.
- Active participation in any required training meetings, workshops etc.
- Cleaning of equipment and production area in accordance with established procedures.
- Ensure daily tasks are completed for both production and cleanliness standards.
- Assist in packing of boxes for shipments as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Utilize all jar production equipment, including can openers, choppers, kettles, pumps, fillers, cappers, inline jar washers, dishwashers, inverter equipment, cooling tunnels, labeling equipment, pallet stacker and jar manufacturing equipment for the manufacture of produced goods in accordance with formulations.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
The Cherry Factory Jar Production Team Member reports directly to the Food Production supervisor. This person has no supervisory responsibilities.
Necessary Skills:
- At least (1) year experience working in a production environment preferred.
- Keen sense of detail. Ability to record and verify data in accordance with FSMA.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must have the ability to maintain assigned work hours. Must have sufficient endurance to perform tasks over long periods of time, and have flexibility in job schedule, including some evening and weekend work.
- Proven self-starter, able to work at a high level of personal accountability.
- Must stay organized and transparent with information.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs, and stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to safely operate equipment after training of equipment has been completed.

- Education and / or Experience- High School Diploma or GED with a preferred minimum of 1 year of experience working in a production environment.
- Language Skills- Ability to read, analyze and interpret data with excellent written and verbal skills. Ability to read and understand scales and recipes.
- Mathematical Skills- Ability to calculate numbers and patterns when analyzing data.
- Reasoning Ability- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to communicate issues accurately and thoroughly to all individuals involved.
- Computer / Technical Skills- Possess basic computer skills.
- Physical Requirements: This position requires long periods of standing in a stationary position for more than 50% of the time. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs with frequent bending, lifting, and placing product on conveyor belts, kettles or pallets. Less than 5% of the time spent sitting in a stationary position. Ability to use kettles, fillers, cappers, labeling machines and other equipment most commonly used in a food production environment.
