We are accepting applications for our summer 2025 season which runs from June through September in Glen Arbor, MI.
Job Summary:
Cherry Republic’s Front of House Server is responsible for providing a high level of quality customer service to our customers. This person will be familiar with our offerings, serve food and beverages to customers, and assist in cleaning tables as they become vacant. Because this position requires the occasional serving of alcoholic beverages, all applicants must be 17 years of age and older.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Work with a team of front-of-house staff as it applies to daily operations.
- Assist in serving food and beverages during operating hours.
- Ability to give customers an enjoyable experience while upholding Cherry Republic values.
- Ability to successfully operate a POS system / Register in order taking and other necessary functions.
- Knowledge of all menu items and modifiers to offer proper recommendations to guests.
- Knowledge of all allergens and how they are prevalent in all menu offerings.
- Providing attentive service to all customers making them the top priority
- Maintain stock of all necessary items within the Cherry Public House.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation standards within the restaurant.
- Follow all policies and assist with cleanliness and safety measures.
Necessary Skills:
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Organized and capable of multi-tasking with attention to detail.
- Ability to learn POS / Toast systems.
- Flexibility in daily work.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Desire to deliver superior customer service to all of our guests.
- Ability to work with multiple groups of staff while creating a positive work culture.

- Proficient use and understanding of English language
- Able to manage time proficiently and multitask in order to be present with all guests
- Physically able to be on your feet for extended periods of time
- Able to lift and carry 25 pounds unassisted
- Willing and able to work nights and weekends
- Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals
Supervisory Responsibilities:
The FOH Server has no managerial responsibilities and reports to the Public House Manager.

- Education and / or Experience: Previous serving experience preferred, certifications such as ServSafe and TAM required. (We can provide if necessary)
- Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret data.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate numbers.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to communicate issues accurately and thoroughly to all individuals involved.
- Computer Skills: To perform this job, you should have a working knowledge Microsoft and familiarity with restaurant software such as TOAST and ERP.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand in a stationary position for long periods of time with frequent periods of walking at a face pace within the restaurant area. Frequent bending, crouching, reaching, climbing for product. Repetitive motions involving manual dexterity, arms when stocking or removing product. Ability to lift 50lbs, use a ladder, or perform other physical tasks occasionally. Outdoor work is performed in all weather conditions, including extreme cold, snow, wind, rain, and sun.
