Purpose:

The Coordinator position plays a key role on the Marketing and Development team, helping to generate funds that support Cherry Street Mission. This position is responsible for a variety of tasks, including the coordination of social media, videography, photography, and storytelling that highlights Cherry Street’s impact, assisting with special events, and day-to-day marketing and fundraising initiatives as needed. The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker and team player with a passion for nonprofit work, strong communication skills, and the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively. Essential Functions:
Social media
|
- Oversee Cherry Street Mission’s social media accounts: Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn and YouTube
- Create content for Cherry Street Mission, including social posts, videos, blogs.
- Create and update social media calendar and post schedules.
- Deploy social media content, from internal and external sources (partner agencies).
- Reply to and monitor comments from subscribers, followers, likes, shares etc.
- Coordinate with Cherry Street leadership to determine how to market and promote Cherry Street and the Cherry Street brand.
- Assist with social media and digital metrics, data insights, and reporting.
Videography / Photography
- Work with marketing team to plan, create, shoot, edit and deploy videos.
- Work with outside partners to plan, oversee and create video projects.
- Support marketing staff with photography needs. (Internal and external events, donation recognition, interviews, etc.)
- Maintain library of photos with appropriate media releases.
Development and Marketing Support
- Identify and support CSM storytelling opportunities including conducting interviews with guests, volunteers, and staff.
- Provide office administrative tasks for the Development and Marketing team.
- Support fundraising events.
- Comfortably represent Cherry Street at outreach events and in the community.
- Support the Volunteer Coordinator position as needed.
- Perform other related duties as requested.

Qualifications
|
Education and Experience
|
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications preferred.
- Experience as a social media specialist.
|
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
|
- Working knowledge of marketing best practices, social media trends, photography, videography, storytelling, digital advertising, email marketing and graphic design.
- Excellent knowledge of social media platforms, KPIs, and metrics.
- Ability to use social media for impressions and brand awareness.
- Knowledge of and experience with tools and software that allows content to be shared across various platforms.
- Experience in graphic design a plus.
- Experience in website maintenance, SEO, paid digital advertising and email marketing a plus.
- Experience working in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.

Lifting Requirements
- Sedentary work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
