Financial Analyst – Real Estate
📍 Great Neck, NY | Full-Time | In Office 5 days per week
Are you an analytical, results-driven finance professional passionate about real estate performance evaluation and cash flow optimization? Our client is seeking a Financial Analyst to join their dynamic team, where you will play a critical role in reviewing and analyzing property operating results, benchmarking financial performance, and identifying opportunities for value enhancement.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Financial Analysis & Reporting: Review and analyze monthly comparative property financial statements, ensuring accuracy and identifying variances.
✅ Performance Benchmarking: Maintain and update financial models, track key performance indicators, and flag concerns for senior management.
✅ Value Enhancement: Identify cash flow improvement opportunities and provide strategic recommendations to optimize property performance.
✅ Transaction Management: Maintain financial transaction records for pre, during, and post-closing processes.
✅ Ad-Hoc Analysis: Conduct financial research and generate insightful reports to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications:
🔹 Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, or Business (advanced degree preferred).
🔹 2 years of public accounting or FP&A experience is required (real estate focus is a plus).
🔹 Experience with NYC rent-stabilized, commercial, and retail property management is highly desirable.
🔹 Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to assess financial report variances.
🔹 Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
🔹 Ability to interpret complex business documents such as leases, financial reports, and contracts.
🔹 Self-motivated, able to work independently, and thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.
