Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, or scraping as needed.
- Apply paints, stains, and coatings using various techniques including airless paint spraying.
- Utilize hand tools and equipment effectively to achieve desired finishes.
- Ensure proper handling of materials and maintain an organized workspace.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
- Follow safety protocols and lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste and enhance productivity.
- Perform basic math calculations for measuring areas and estimating paint quantities.
- Operate forklifts or cranes when necessary for moving materials or equipment.
- Assist in fabricating or machining components as required for specific projects.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Painter or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with airless paint spraying techniques is highly desirable.
- Ability to use hand tools and operate machinery safely.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to painting tasks.
- Experience with lean manufacturing practices is a plus.
- Knowledge of materials handling procedures is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
