Job Summary :
The Chesapeake Baysox are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Marketing Operations Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in executing marketing strategies, promotions, community outreach, and social media efforts. The Marketing Operations Coordinator will be involved in the planning, development, and execution of numerous promotional events, enhancing the fan experience, and engaging with local communities. This position offers the opportunity to take a leading role in the organization’s marketing efforts and contribute to its long-term vision while ensuring a fun and dynamic game day experience for our fans.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Lead the design, development, planning, and execution of multiple promotional events and theme nights throughout the season to drive ticket sales and enhance fan engagement.
- Oversee the process of purchasing and managing promotional items, from concept to creation, while adhering to budget guidelines as set by the Director of Marketing.
- Collaborate with the Director of Marketing to help oversee operational elements of the marketing department, contributing to the crafting of the long-term marketing vision for the organization.
- Assist in all aspects of “The Show,” including on-field promotions, ensuring an engaging and entertaining experience for fans on a nightly basis.
- Develop and implement creative props, pre-game and in-game activities that align with theme nights and promotions, making each event unique and exciting.
- Manage the publicizing and process of jersey auctions, with proceeds benefiting local nonprofit organizations.
- Plan, write, and distribute Baysox email newsletters, tailored to various segments of the fanbase.
- Assist the Director of Marketing in the execution of a robust social media strategy to increase engagement, enhance brand awareness, and promote the team’s activities.
- Help develop and activate the team’s Kids Club and Silver Sox Seniors Club, including increasing membership, organizing exclusive events, managing ticket sales, and coordinating e-mail marketing campaigns and database management.
- Lead the organization of Louie’s Holiday Hope, a charitable program dedicated to supporting local families in need, including budget allocation and the purchase and distribution of holiday gifts to ensure a meaningful impact.
- Participate in community outreach events throughout the year, including mascot appearances, local festivals, parades, and engagements with civic organizations.
- Be an active, engaged, and enthusiastic collaborator with the sponsorship and ticket / group sales teams to help drive organizational goals.
- Work to make the game day experience as enjoyable and memorable as possible for fans of all ages.
- Attend and work all Baysox home games and stadium events, ensuring the smooth execution of marketing activities on game day.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by supervisors.
